For a quote, put the details from the matching checklist below in the message. Carriers: apply through the carrier application instead.
What should a quote request include?
The details that set the trailer, the permits and the pickup plan. A request with these can be priced on the first pass; one without them starts with our questions.
A machine or other equipment
- Make, model and year, plus attachments that ship separately (bucket, blade, counterweight)
- Whether it runs, and how it gets on and off at each end: drive-on, crane, forklift or dock
- Pickup and delivery addresses with gate hours, and the dates you need
- For an auction or rental pickup: the lot or contract number and any removal deadline
An oversize load that is not a catalog machine
- Length, width, height and weight as it will sit on the trailer
- Photos and drawings, with lift points if it goes on by crane
- Anything that can be removed to bring it under a limit
- Pickup and delivery sites, with any height or turning limits at either one
A container at the Port of New York and New Jersey
- Container number, size and type, and the terminal
- Last free day from the arrival notice, and whether customs has released it
- Delivery address, receiving hours, and live unload or drop
- Gross weight, and dimensions if it is a flat rack or open top
Dealer, auction or fleet vehicles
- Company name and the number of units (no personal vehicles)
- VIN, year, make and model of each unit, and which ones do not run
- Origin and destination addresses with hours, and a contact at each
- Any auction gate pass or release number
